"Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us give thanks, by which we offer to God an acceptable worship with reverence and awe; for indeed our God is a consuming fire." -Hebrews 12:28-29
Does praise and worship help you feel God's presence in your life? Does singing one of the great hymns of the past help you offer worship to God? At First United Methodist Church in Sallisaw you have the opportunity to praise and worship God with a blend of contemporary and traditional music.
We believe that worshiping God is an essential part of living as a disciple of Jesus Christ. We invite you to join us in worshiping God and growing as a disciple of Jesus Christ. Our 10:50 a.m. Worship Service includes inspiring anthems sung by our Choir; energetic praise and worship music led by the "Instruments of Praise" Band; Children's Conversations that help children grow in their love of God; relevant and Biblically based sermons to help you grow in the Christian faith; and opportunities to respond to God's Word and make a Christian difference. We offer Holy Communion on the first Sunday of each month, and all are invited to receive this means of grace. Our Children's Choirs sing on the second and third Sundays of each month.
We invite you to come as you are. Some of the people in our church dress up, and others keep it casual. Whatever your choice, we hope you will come as you are and worship with our family of faith.
