  Get connected...

          To God,
               To fellowship with other Christians,
To the Christian you are growing to be.

First United Methodist Church Sallisaw is a great place to connect with other Christians.  There is a place for everyone to share their love of God and the talents God has given us.  If service to others is where you feel you need to be, it's here.  If sharing your love of music is your calling, you can do that here.  If teaching is your gift, we can use it here.

FUMC offers a variety of classes where you can come together with other disciples of Christ to learn and share.  There are Bible study classesfor adults and Sunday School classes for all ages.  The United Methodist Women and United Methodist Men each offer opportunities for service in a variety of ways.

The Outreach committee is always in need of volunteers for projects such as the Free Community Breakfast which is offered the last Saturday of each month.  If you prefer to serve in the background, we have a place for you.

Our Music Ministry is always in need of more voices and instruments.  If you love to "make a joyful noise unto the Lord" come join in.  We have a place for all ages in music at FUMC.

Our Youth Group and Children's Ministries offer a safe and exciting environment for the exploration of God's word through a variety of classes and activities.  (There is a Youth Praise Band called "98:4."  This name comes from Psalm 98 verse 4 which reads, "Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth, burst into jubilant song with music;".)  There are Sunday School classes and Wacky Wednesday activities, and Children's Church for the children.  Everyone has a place to learn and grow in discipleship.

The Prayer Ministry team offers anyone who is interested an opportunity to meet with others in our church once a week for the sole purpose of praying for our congregation and specific needs of our families and friends, as well as the world around us.

The Adult/Family Committee provides our congregation the opportunity to fellowship through after church dinners, socials/game nights, our annual Lake Sunday Picnic, Sunday School Breakfasts (next, when new quarter starts Sept. 5), Progressive Dinners, etc.  There is something for everyone here.

We are always excited to see a new face, or a familiar face who just wants to get more involved.  Being "Connected" with other Christians to learn, work, and worship is a vital part of who we are at FUMC Sallisaw.  Come --- Get Connected!!
