UM Women![]() Purpose
The organized unit of the United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.
The United Methodist Women of FUMC Sallisaw participate in many varied activities. The UMW provide bereavement dinners, host receptions, and support the following:

Cookson Hills Indian Mission/Center NSU Wesley Foundation
Neighborhood Services Organization (OK City) Boy's Ranch
Children's Home Holsinger Home
CJAMM (Criminal Justice Ministry) -- New Day Camp
FUMC Sallisaw Youth Mission Trips Boys & Girls Club of Sallisaw
Community Food Distribution through Catholic Charities
Clearinghouse Backpack Program for Local Kids
Camp & Retreat Ministries -- Ray of Light
District & Conference projects

Meetings are held the first Thursday of every other month. The next meeting will be in October.
