Become a Member

Welcome

Anyone who wishes to become a member of First United Methodist Church, Sallisaw, may do so in one of three ways.

Baptism and Profession of Faith - for those who are making their first commitment to Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. These persons profess their faith in Christ, are baptized, and take vows of membership in the church universal and the United Methodist Church, and Sallisaw FUMC.

     Transfer of membership from another denomination - for those who are members of another Christian denomination. These persons take vows of commitment to the United Methodist Church and this congregation.

   Transfer of membership from another United Methodist church - for those who are members of another UM congregation. These persons take a vow to serve in this congregation.

     Those who are interested in becoming members may take the first step by speaking to the pastor.
