United Methodist Men
The United Methodist Men of First United Methodist Church are an active group participating in ministries within our church, our community, and beyond! They serve our congregation by providing support and assistance wherever they are able.
The United Methodist Men provide workers for the United Methodist Women's annual Thanksgiving Dinner fundraiser. The men hold an annual Spring Garage Sale, the first Saturday in May to raise funds for the various mission projects which they support.
The highlight of their projects is the annual Valentine's Banquet for the women of First United Methodist Church. Each lady is escorted to her seat by one of the United Methodist Men. The men cook, wait tables, clean. This year's entertainment was provided by our Music Director, Keri Cousins, and her band.
The United Methodist Men meet the Fourth Sunday of each month at 8:00 a.m. for breakfast in the church's Worship and Fellowship Center. Meetings not only include breakfast prepared by some great United Methodist Men cooks, but also include a short business meeting and devotional.
